Baby Sitting & Cots

With sufficient prior notice (usually 48 hours) Reception can arrange a babysitting service from a registered person for you. The bill should be settled directly with the baby sitter, please contact Reception. Dial 0.

Cots are available on request, please contact Reception. Dial 0.

There is a dedicated baby and feeding room off the main lobby.

Banking

There are several banks and ATMs in the village of Malahide, about 400m from the Hotel. Bank of Ireland in on the Main Street and AIB Bank on Church Road.

Checkout

Check Out Time

The hotel’s check out time is 12 noon, Should you wish to extend this time please contact Reception. There may be an extra charge for this service. Dial 0.

Check Out Online

At 7am on the morning of departure you will receive an email to allow Online Check Out.

1. Click the ‘Check Out Now’

2. Enter ‘Room Number’ and click ‘Continue’

3. Enter your ‘Check Out’ time (up to 12 noon)

4. An overview of Stay Bill will display.

   • Enter your Card details

   • Tick to receive copy of Bill by email

   • Click ‘Pay & Check Out’

Please remember to drop your Room Key Card at Reception as your leave.

Check Out at Reception

Checking Out at Reception is also an option and please remember to drop your Room Key Card as you leave.

Doctor/Pharmacy

Should you require a Doctor, Reception will call one for you. Dial 0.

There are several Pharmacies in Malahide Village.

For emergencies, the national emergency number for Ambulance, Fire and Garda (Police) is 112.

Internet Access

Wi-Fi

WiFi is free to all our Hotel Guests. There is no password required.

To logon to WiFi
1. On your device, choose ‘Grand Hotel’ WiFi

2. This should open a page in your device Browser, click the ‘Connect’ button

3. You should now be connected.

PC and Printer

In the Lobby we have an Internet/Vending room equipped with a PC and printer. A fee applies to this service that is paid at the PC.

Printing

If you need a Boarding Pass or other document printed, we can do so at Reception. Email your document to reception@thegrand.ie

Laundry & Dry Cleaning

Laundry /Dry Cleaning

For the same day laundry and dry cleaning service, please leave the laundry bag and list supplied in your room to Reception before 6.30 am. Laundry is returned to the Hotel at approximately 7.00pm.

Please remember to clearly mark your name and room number.

(No service Saturday, Sunday or on Public holidays).

Ironing

Every room is supplied with ironing facilities.

Luggage

We can store your luggage in our store if required, please ask at Reception.

Meeting Room

If you plan to host a meeting during your stay with us, we have a wide range of meeting rooms to satisfy all requirements. Please contact our Sales department or Reception. Dial 0.

Pillows

Non-feather pillows are available from Reception on request. Dial 0.

Safekeeping

All rooms are provided with in room safes. We can keep special items in the Hotel safe but access may be restricted due to the operation of time locks. We also draw your attention to the Hotel Proprietor Act displayed at Reception.

Secretarial

There are secretarial, fax and photocopying services available during normal working hours.
Please contact Reception. Dial 0. This is a chargeable service.

Smoking

Smoking is strictly prohibited in the entire building.

There are smoking areas provided outside the entrances.

Smoking in a bedroom will incur a fine of €85 to cover cleaning costs.

Telephone

We operate a fair phones policy by not adding excessive charges to calls made from your Hotel room telephone. There is a minimum charge for all calls of €0.50 cent (including 1800 numbers).

To call an outside number: Dial 9 + country code + area code + number.

The television set in your bedroom carries all domestic channels, radio channels and a number of satellite channels.

Vending

Vending machines containing beverages and snacks are located in the Guest Services room in the main lobby.

There are also vending machines located on some floors.

Wake Up Calls

You may order a Wake Up Call directly from Reception. Alternatively, you may programme your telephone.

How to set a Wake Up call on your Bedroom telephone.
Dial *80, enter the Wake Ip time in 24 hour format, e.g. 7.15 am is 0715. Hang Up.

How to check the time set.
Dial *80 and the time will be read out.

How to cancel a Wake Up call on your Bedroom telephone
